Returns & Refunds Policy
BC Boots UK (Part of BC Global Sports Ltd)
1) Our Commitment to You
At BC Boots UK, we want every customer to purchase with complete confidence. We specialise in premium match-worn and match-issued football memorabilia, and we take pride in clear descriptions, accurate photography, and professional customer support.
This policy explains when returns, refunds, credits, and cancellations apply.
2) Definitions
For the purpose of this policy:
- “Item” means any product purchased from BC Boots UK, including match-worn and match-issued football boots and other memorabilia.
- “Made-to-Order / Custom Service” includes authentication services, certification packs, written opinions, express sourcing, or any bespoke work performed at the customer’s request.
- “Reservation Deposit” means any payment made to hold an item, remove it from public sale, pause marketing/outreach, or secure an item under an agreed structured payment plan.
- “Store Credit” means a credit applied to your BC Boots UK customer account to use against future purchases.
3) Standard Returns (Delivered Items)
3.1 Cooling-Off Period
If you are eligible to cancel your purchase, you must notify us within 14 calendar days of receiving the item.
If the 14-day deadline falls on a weekend or public holiday, the deadline extends to the next working day.
3.2 Return Eligibility
Returned items must be:
- In the same condition as received
- Returned with all original packaging, documentation, and any included materials (e.g. COA/LOA packs, tags, inserts)
- Not damaged, altered, cleaned, re-laced, re-glued, or modified in any way
3.3 Condition of Match-Worn Memorabilia
Many of our items are match-worn/match-used and will naturally show signs of use (e.g. soleplate wear, upper marking, stud wear, scuffs, dirt). These signs are not defects — they are part of the item’s authenticity and collectability.
4) How to Request a Return
To request a return, email:
info@bcbootsuk.com
Subject: Return Request – Order #[Your Order Number]
Include:
- Your order number
- Full name
- Reason for return
- Photos (if the return involves damage or an issue)
Returns must be authorised before shipping.
Unauthorised returns may be rejected.
5) Return Shipping
- Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error
- We do not provide prepaid return labels
- We strongly recommend a tracked and fully insured service
- We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during return shipping
6) Damaged, Incorrect, or Faulty Items
Please inspect your item immediately upon delivery.
If your item is damaged, incorrect, or faulty, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include:
- Your order number
- Clear photographs
- A brief explanation of the issue
If approved, we will provide instructions and either:
- Arrange a replacement (where possible), or
- Issue a refund
Claims submitted after 48 hours may be rejected where the issue cannot reasonably be verified.
7) Refunds (Standard Purchases)
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of approval or rejection.
If approved:
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method
- Banks/card providers may take 5–7 working days to reflect the funds
- Return shipping costs are not refundable unless the return is due to our error
8) Reservation Deposits & Structured Payment Plans
8.1 What a Reservation Deposit Means
When a Reservation Deposit is accepted, the item is:
- Removed from public sale
- Taken off marketing channels
- Reserved exclusively for the customer
- Held for a defined period or until agreed instalments are completed
This creates opportunity cost and administrative work, and will prevent other buyers from purchasing the item.
8.2 Reservation Deposits Are Non-Refundable
All Reservation Deposits are non-refundable, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing by BC Boots UK.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Deposits paid via PayPal “Goods & Services”
- Bank transfer deposits
- Card payments made specifically to reserve an item
- Any deposit payments made under a structured instalment plan
8.3 Cancellation During a Reservation Period
If a customer chooses not to proceed after placing a Reservation Deposit (including where the item has not yet shipped), the Reservation Deposit remains non-refundable.
8.4 Store Credit (Optional Goodwill)
In certain circumstances, BC Boots UK may offer store credit as a goodwill gesture.
This is:
- Entirely discretionary
- Not guaranteed
- May be time-limited
- May be offered without admission of liability
9) Fees & Payment Costs
Where payment processor fees are incurred (including PayPal, card processing, currency conversion, intermediary banking charges, or third-party transaction fees), these fees:
- May not be recoverable by BC Boots UK
- May be deducted from any refund where applicable
- Are not refundable where they represent a real cost paid to third parties
10) Authentication / Certification / Custom Work
Any services already completed or in progress may be non-refundable, including:
- Authentication services
- Certificate packs (COA/LOA creation)
- Photo-matching work
- Written opinions
- Bespoke sourcing or client-specific procurement
If you request any work to begin before full payment or shipment, you acknowledge that time and labour may be incurred and may not be refundable.
11) Refused Delivery / Incorrect Address / Customs
If a customer:
- Refuses delivery, or
- Provides an incorrect address, or
- Fails to pay customs/import charges (where applicable), or
- Fails to collect a shipment from the carrier
…any return shipping costs, re-shipping costs, duties, and fees may be deducted before any refund is processed (where a refund is applicable).
12) International Orders
International buyers are responsible for:
- Import duties
- Customs fees
- Local taxes
- Courier handling charges
These costs are imposed by the destination country and are outside of our control.
13) Chargebacks & Disputes
If a customer initiates a chargeback, payment dispute, or third-party claim while a matter is being handled through our support channels, BC Boots UK reserves the right to:
- Suspend support until the claim is resolved
- Restrict future purchasing
- Require bank transfer for future orders
- Permanently refuse service where harassment, threats, or abuse occurs
14) Policy Updates
BC Global Sports Ltd reserve the right to update this policy at any time.
The policy version displayed on our website at the time of purchase will apply.
